Tamil Nadu Fisheries Minister Jayakumar posed a question to DMK if whether its cadres will come forward to close the liquor manufacturing units and lead by example.
The Minister made the remark while addressing a pressmeet after inspecting an Amma canteen in Chennai Egmore.
He said that the closure of liquor shops was a social issue and added that, if awareness is created through campaigns that makes people to stop buying alcohol, there wouldn’t be a need for the government to open TASMAC.
