Why Rahul Gandhi Should Be Given The Nishan-E-Pakistan Award

In a gesture long overdue, our perpetually puzzled prince of Indian politics, Rahul Gandhi, has once again shown the kind of empathy and dedication that few non-citizens (yet) have ever shown to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has emerged as the frontrunner for the prestigious award Nishan-e-Pakistan, thanks to his unmatched contributions to Pakistan’s strategic interests, often at the expense of his own country’s political discourse.

The Nishan-e-Pakistan, Pakistan’s highest civilian award for foreign nationals, has previously been awarded to leaders like Nelson Mandela and Turkish President Erdoğan. But it’s time to truly modernize that list. Give it to a man who, through sheer consistency, unrelenting optimism, and creative imagination, has spoken for Pakistan even when Pakistan itself was silent.

Let us take a look at a few top reasons why Rahul Gandhi deserves the award.

He Gives Pakistan Credit For Things It Didn’t Even Do

While India insists its military decisions are sovereign, Rahul Gandhi has special talent for attributing them to external pressure—especially from Pakistan’s all-weather ally, the US. Whether it’s the 2025 pausing of the war-like situation (“Modiji surrendered to Trump!”) or surgical strikes (“Did America approve this?”), he ensures Pakistan gets moral victories even when it loses on the ground.

He Keeps The BJP’s Blood Pressure At An All-Time High

No Pakistani troll has damaged the BJP’s calm as effectively as Rahul Gandhi. One speech from him, and BJP spokespersons spiral into Rahul loves Pakistan! meltdowns on live TV. Pakistan’s analysts and news anchors believe his statements do more damage than their entire propaganda wing—and they don’t even have to pay him!

For Possibly Being the Only Indian Leader Whose Heart Beats For Pakistan

No, this isn’t hyperbole. BJP spokespersons have graciously reminded us again and again that Rahul Gandhi’s cardiac sympathies lie not in New Delhi, but somewhere along the banks of the Indus. Who are we to question that kind of cardiovascular diplomacy?

His Historical Revisions Are A Gift To Pakistan’s Narrative

Who needs facts when you have Rahul Gandhi’s alternative history? His retelling of the 1971 war (“Indira single-handedly defeated America!”) conveniently skips the Soviet Union’s role, making it sound like Pakistan lost to a one-woman army. Islamabad can’t believe its luck—an Indian leader who downplays India’s actual victories!

For Questioning Every Surgical Strike

Whether it’s Balakot or any unnamed military operation, Rahul Gandhi has made it a personal mission to ensure Pakistan’s version of events always has an Indian echo. While Pakistani news anchors struggle with credibility, Rahul delivers sharp, well-televised rebuttals to Indian defence claims — straight from Bhopal to Rawalpindi. Why waste ISPR budgets when you have Rahul Gandhi?

Pakistan’s Unofficial PR Chief On A World Tour

Let’s give credit where it’s due: if Pakistan ever needs a global brand ambassador who doesn’t require a visa, a briefing, or even a subtle nudge, they’ve got Rahul Gandhi. Every year, like clockwork, he gallivants across the globe — from Harvard to Hamburg — and what does he do? No sightseeing, no shopping. No sir, he dives straight into high-level public relations work… for Pakistan.

While most Indian politicians are stuck dealing with boring stuff like policy or potholes, Rahul is out there shaking hands with every Pakistani-origin person outside his country that he can find — making them feel seen, heard, and thoroughly appreciated. Now that’s diplomacy!

Rahul Gandhi’s Pearls Of Wisdom In The Form Of Lectures

Then come the lectures. Ah yes, the lectures. With the grace of a TED Talker and the consistency of a Pakistani foreign ministry press release, he paints a vivid picture of India as a place where democracy is gasping, minorities are fleeing, and even the Constitution is reportedly under “mortal danger.”

Frankly, if Rahul Gandhi weren’t already in politics, Pakistan would’ve offered him a full-time job in their Ministry of Information. In fact, we hear Islamabad’s PR team has a framed photo of him next to Jinnah and a quote: “When he speaks, we don’t have to.” So yes, if this isn’t stellar outreach and PR for Pakistan, then what is? The man’s doing cross-border image management — pro bono!

For Reminding Indians That India Is The Problem

At a time when Pakistan is battling image issues ranging from terror financing to democracy breakdowns, Rahul Gandhi offers a welcome distraction: India. According to him, the real danger isn’t Hafiz Saeed or the Taliban. It’s the RSS, a bunch of khaki-clad boomers doing yoga in Nagpur. Never has the enemy been so efficiently relocated.

What Pakistan Stands To Gain

The Verdict: Award The Man Immediately!

Rahul Gandhi may not always know what he’s saying, where he’s saying it, or why. But he says it — loudly, passionately, and usually with some historical analogy involving Indira Gandhi and invisible phone calls. Pakistan must not let this moment slip away.

The Nishan-e-Pakistan has been given to Nelson Mandela, Yasser Arafat, and even Queen Elizabeth II, apart from it being given to former Indian PM Morarji Desai, Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, and a leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community. Surely, there’s room for the man who brings so much joy to Pakistani newsrooms and confusion to Indian living rooms.

If Pakistan doesn’t award him soon, they’re missing the golden opportunity totake controlof India in the most unexpected way possible.
