V.M.S. Mustafa (Madhar Badurudeen) the founding president of the Tamil Nadu Muslim League (TNML) and the TVK MLA from Madurai Central has declared that his party has entered the political field to eradicate Sanatana Dharma.
Speaking to reporters, he said “We also have Periyar, Ambedkar and we’ve entered the field to eradicate Sanatana (Dharma).”
Ironically he’s the MLA of Madurai Central where the world-famous historic Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple is located.
Moving on to comment on the TVK government’s move to close liquor shops near schools, hospitals and religious places, he said “First we’ve closed the liquor shops. No government has done this before. We’ve assured protection for women, temple, church, schools, bus stands. Especially the wish of Tamil Nadu women has been fulfilled by closing 217 shops.”
Joseph Vijay Doesn’t Object To Eradicate Sanatana Dharma Hate Speech
On 12 May 2026, leader of opposition and DMK scion Udhayanidhi Stalin once again triggered controversy after reiterating remarks against Sanatana Dharma during his speech in the Assembly, while Chief Minister Joseph Vijay was looking on in the House.
“Victory to Tamil. Long live Tamil Nadu. Sanatanam, which divides the people, must certainly be eradicated. Thank you, greetings.”, Udhayanidhi Stalin said.
However, Vijay nodded and greeted Udhayanidhi with his hands folded as the latter concluded the speech.
This is Udhayanidhi Stalin reiterating that he stands by his hateful ‘eradicate Sanatana Dharma’ comments which he made as Deputy CM of the state back in 2023 in a conference titled ‘Eradicate Sanatana Dharma’ conference.
