In a shocking incident, the Solidarity Youth Movement (Kerala Youth Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind), invited Hamas founding member Khaled Mashal to speak where anti-Hindu slogans were raised.
Khaled Mashal presented a video message of approximately 7 minutes in duration. In his sermon, Khalid reportedly asked the people present at the rally to extend unconditional support to Hamas and allegedly made anti-Hindu comments. The nature of the video address, whether it was live or pre-recorded, has not been confirmed.

Once his address was over, the audience can be seen gleefully applauding and cheering enthralled by Mashal’s speech. Incendiary slogans were raised calling for uprooting “zionism” through intifada were raised.
Reacting to this Kerala Bharatiya Janata Party President K Surendran took to social media X to condemn the incident and termed it “alarming.”
He said, Hamas leader Khaled Mashel’s virtual address at the Solidarity event in Malappuram is alarming. Where’s @pinarayivijayan‘s Kerala Police? Under the guise of ‘Save Palestine,’ they’re glorifying Hamas, a terrorist organization, and its leaders as ‘warriors.’ This is unacceptable @HMOIndia.

It is noteworthy to mention that following Israel’s counter-offensive in response to Hamas’ terror attack, Khaled Mashal, asked Muslims across the world to gather on Friday (13 October 2023) in what he called “the Friday of Al-Aqsa flood” to wage jihad on the ground rather than just in theory. Mashal in his speech had said that the time has come for jihad to be applied on the ground rather than just in theory.
