UP: Man molests two lady police constable for enforcing COVID protocols

When two lady police constable attached to the anti-Romeo squad of Uttar Pradesh police stopped a motorcyclist for was not wearing a mask, he allegedly misbehaved and molested them.

The man also tore the uniform of one of them in a busy market in Amroha district.

The women constables were conducting a routine checking drive when they were attacked. None of the bystanders came forward to help the two women during the scuffle.

The two constables using their own strength managed to overpower the accused who have been identified as Mohammad Zaid of the Pakki Sarai area of the district.

When Ziad allegedly attacked the two women constable, a 10-year-old child was also with him and according to the police both the man and the child were not wearing masks.

Amroha station house officer (SHO) R.P. Sharma said: “A case has been registered against the accused for molesting the women constables and obstructing the government servant from performing duty. The accused has been arrested.”
