UK: Muslim asylum seeker from Middle East kills himself in a failed suicide terror attack

After the failed attempt to blow off possibly an old cathedral in the Liverpool United Kingdom by an alleged Islamic Jihadist, Home Secretary Preeti Patel said, “the terrorism threat level in the country has been increased from “substantial” to “severe” after the car blast incident,”, reports dailymail.

The blast occurred as Britain was observing Remembrance Day on Sunday and now reports have emerged that the failed suicide bomber was an Emad Jamil Al Swealmeen who changed his name to Enzo Almeni to sound more Western as he applied for asylum in the UK.

Almeni, as per information made public was a failed asylum seeker with Syrian and Iraqi heritage and fled the Middle East several years ago and converted from Islam to Christianity in 2017 at the cathedral which the police think he was targetting.

The failed asylum seeker blew up a taxi outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital on Sunday, and if not for the bravery of taxi driver David Perry, who has now been hailed as a hero by friends who said he locked the car jumped out after the blast to prevent him getting into the hospital, lot of people could have been killed and hurt.

It must be noted that just a month ago conservative member of parliament David Amiss was brutally murdered by a few weeks by Ali Harbi Ali who was from Somalia.

As the investigation has progressed, four men have ben arrested under terrorism laws in the Kensington area of Liverpool – three aged 21, 26 and 29, who were held on Sunday, and a man, aged 20 who was detained on Monday was released from police custody following interview conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Police North West said on Monday night.
