Trinamool worker dies in an explosion, was making crude bombs at his home in Murshidabad

A 40-year-old man with a criminal background died in the West Bengal’s Murshidabad district while making crude bombs in his house, Hindustan Times reported.

The man who was killed in the explosion has been alleged to be Trinamool Congress worker and the incident happened in the Shamsergunj area on Saturday night (15 August).

The deceased have been identified as Humayun Kabir with a criminal background and was arrested multiple times in the past. He died when he was assembling bombs on his terrace at night after having dinner.

When neighbours heard a loud explosion, they found him lying in a pool of blood. Police are investigating the matter have now claimed that the family removed the evidence from the scene after his death.

A local Trinamool spokesperson has claimed that no member of his party was involved in this incident.

Last month two men had died in the same district while making bombs. Police suspect that there is a hoarding of explosives and firearms in lew of assembly polls next year.
