Param Bir Singh, a transferred IPS officer from Maharashtra, has written a letter to Uddhav Thackeray, the CM of Maharashtra, in an attempt to seek justice. This letter mentions that there were a lot of untruthful statements made by the Home Mnister of Maharashtra against the former, following his transfer from the post of Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, to the post of Commandant General of Home Guards, Maharashtra State. This had been carried out since there had been a mishap at Antillia, the residence of the Ambanis.
In the letter, Param says the following:
“On 25th February 2021, a case bearing no. 35/ 2021 was registered with the Gamdevi Police Station as a result of a car with explosives being found at Altamount Road near Antilia, the residence of Shri Mukesh Ambani. The said case is thereafter being investigated by the ATS and the NIA. All necessary assistance had been rendered by my office and my officers for the conduct of a free and fair investigation by the ATS and the NIA into the Antilia incident. ”
He went on to say that he had informed the CM as well as he President of the Nationalist Congress Party, Shri Sharad Pawar and other senior Ministers under multiple instances about the malpractices being carried out by the Home Minister. He further accused the Home Minister of going behind his back to give orders to his subordinates.
The main accusation was that the Home Minister had asked the IPS Officer to collect Rs 100 crore every month from bars and restaurants, despite the officer stating that the hookah bars in Mumbai should be closed with immediate effect due to the malpractices that have been going on in these places. The letter ended with the officer asking the CM to take appropriate action towards the Home Minister.
