TN Police Claim Water Woman Shipra Pathak “Staged & Fabricated” Stone Pelting Incident, File Case Against Her For Fake Complaint

Shipra Pathak, renowned as the “water woman” and a monk, embarked on a spiritual journey to Rameswaram from Ayodhya on 27 November 2023, following the path taken by Lord Ram, Maa Sita, and Lakshman after their exile. As reported by Dinamalar, Shipra Pathak was passing through Paramakudi and is said to have been attacked by eight unknown individuals who allegedly broke the left side window of her brother’s car and the Rama flagpole on the vehicle. Subsequently, she reported the incident to the Paramakudi police.

Now News18 Tamil Nadu claims that Shipra Pathak fabricated and staged the incident. Contrary to her account, the report claims that the police reviewed CCTV footage, revealing Shipra Pathak’s brother collecting stones from the road and placing them in the car during the alleged attack without releasing the CCTV footage. Consequently, asserts a case was filed against the female monk for spreading false rumors and disturbing public peace. Upon learning of these developments, the monk, along with her family, returned to their hometown on 10 March 2024.

In response to the allegations, Shipra Pathak provided a rationale, stating, ” #victory over Lanka, #Sarayu_To_Sagar, #determination_to_achievement. This is not only the era of empowering women but also a time for women’s discussions. To propagate this awareness in tandem with the environment, I undertook a journey on foot from Sarayu to Sagar.

Following the incident three days ago, suggestions were made for my safety, urging me to return later and offer water in a secure environment. Reflecting on this, I drew parallels with Ram’s exile, facing adversity in the final stage. With a formidable force akin to Ravana before me and the resolve for water in the name of Ram in my hand, I recalled that Ram did not return to Ayodhya without defeating the demonic power.

Over the last three days, I underwent mental turmoil. An entire government seemed intent on apprehending a woman like Ravana. While traversing the metaphorical Ashok Vatika in the name of Ram, local Ram Janaki devotees stood by me like Hanuman ji, serving as protectors. Yet, my greatest shield in such challenging times was my cultural awareness.

Educated advice might have prompted one to retreat for safety, but my cultural awareness reminded me that offering this water transcends mere ritual. It serves as a statement to certain demons that ruling a state for a brief period does not make it theirs; it remains an integral part of India.

The flame in the name of Ram will persist in every corner of India. Ram transcends politics; he is a matter of faith. The dictate that no one can use the name of Ram by wielding political power cannot be accepted.

Cultural strength becomes pivotal in adverse situations. Throughout history, whenever a culture has endured, it has been preserved by women. Overcoming language barriers, we united in the name of culture and reached Rameshwaram. Thus, there is a need to promote culture, especially among women. The unity of India can be achieved through cultural foundations. Mere political and educational awakening among women is insufficient; cultural awareness must be instilled. Narmade Har Lifelong.”

The CCTV footage is not available in public domain yet and we are unable to verify the veracity of the claims made in News18 Tamil Nadu’s report.
