In yet another attack on Hindu temples, the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) department has reportedly been taking steps to remove a 200 year old temple in the Chengalpattu district in Tamil Nadu.
The Muneeswarar temple is situated in a garden at the Alandur village in Chengalpattu district. The main deity Muneeswarar is considered as a guardian deity and the temple is visited by the locals.
The temple is said to be atleast 200 years old.
The Hindu Munnani is resisting the attempts to remove the temple by the HR&CE department and has announced a protest regarding the same.
