Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has appointed M.R. Rangaswami, a well-known Indian American venture capitalist as the state’s ‘Investment Ambassador’ on Friday, Nov 26th. Rangaswami is an active member of the Indian American community in the US.
Rangaswami is the founder of Indiaspora, a nonprofit organisation, whose mission is to unite the Indian diaspora and to transform their success into meaningful impact in India and on the global level. In addition, he is also an entrepreneur, investor, corporate eco-strategy expert, community builder and philanthropist.
On presenting him this position, CM Stalin appreciated him for his achievements in the USA. Rangaswami, an alumnus of Don Bosco Matriculation School, Egmore and Loyola College in Chennai, recently led a massive $2 million COVID relief effort for Tamil Nadu.
Dr. VGP, an Indian American community leader and president of the World Federation of Tamil Youth, USA in Chicago, congratulated CM Stalin on the appointment and said Tamil Nadu will soon become India’s number one industrialized state under Rangaswami’s captaincy.
The event was attended by Rangaswami’s wife and his two children, who have been supportive of his past endeavors and his current leadership position to tackle more India-centric issues.
