The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International has honoured Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami by recognizing him as a Paul Harris Fellow, Information Minister Kadambur Raju said in a press release.
The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is a non-profit corporation headquartered in Chicago, USA, and supports efforts of Rotary International’s mission of achieving world understanding and peace.
The Chief Minister has been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow for this year for efforts undertaken in the areas of water, sanitation, disease control, maternity care, environment, etc.
Paul Harris Fellow recognition is given to a person who contributes (or in whose name is contributed, using Foundation recognition points) a gift of $1000 or more cumulatively to the Annual Fund, Polio Plus Fund, or an approved global grant. Recognition consists of a certificate and pin.
