BJP Tamil Nadu president Annamalai lashed out at Dravidian parties for their pseudo-social justice, adding that it was the BJP that provided political representation to L Murugan and aided the advancement of his community and that this would not happen in the DMK.
BJP state president Annamalai paid floral tributes to Abdul Kalam’s portrait at the BJP headquarters in Thiyagaraya Nagar, Chennai, on the occasion of Abdul Kalam Memorial Day. Later, he told reporters that Abdul Kalam was a source of pride for Tamil Nadu and the country and that the DMK had prevented him from becoming president for the second time. He said that since the ADMK and the BJP are still in an alliance, AIADMK coordinators and co-coordinators meeting the Prime Minister is normal and that the allegation of BJP interference in the ADMK’s inter-party affairs is baseless.
He also stated that the vigilance raid on the house of former Minister M.R. Vijayabhaskar was political vengeance, which he will pursue in court. He explained that BJP will take note of changes that have to be made to draft the Indian Marine Fisheries bill to address the concerns of Tamil Nadu fishermen.
He claimed that the DMK speaks pseudo social justice, and that it was the BJP that gave L Murugan political representation and helped improve his community. He went on to say that this would not happen in the DMK and that their cadres would not be allowed to grow.
