Dimagi Naxal actor Prakash Raj responded with sarcastic laughter to a reporter’s question about allegations that women Delhi Police personnel were pushed, manhandled and harassed during political protests in New Delhi.
The incident took place on 15 October 2026, during a joint press conference where Prakash Raj joined members of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to protest against the Central government and raise allegations of discrepancies in electoral rolls.
During the media interaction, a reporter asked about allegations that protesters had physically manhandled women police personnel deployed on duty. The question concerned the safety of women officers carrying out their responsibilities amid political demonstrations.
Instead of directly addressing the allegations or clarifying what had transpired, Prakash Raj responded by laughing sarcastically and dismissing the question as a joke.
“That was a good joke, a very good joke!”, he said.
He followed it up with, “What a joke you cracked!”
Evil smile from @prakashraaj when asked about the abuse and molestation of women police officers by CJP protesters.
Shameful, disgusting ! https://t.co/kUHeBseQUq

Prakash Raj’s reaction has invited criticism, after treating a serious question about the mistreatment of women police personnel as an occasion for mockery rather than offering a substantive response.
Prakash Raj has frequently positioned himself as a vocal critic of the government and an advocate of accountability. However, when confronted with a question concerning the mistreatment of women police personnel, his response was ridicule rather than clarification.
