Tamil Nadu Congress Social Media Handle Posts Derogatory Cartoon On Modi, Deletes It Later

The social media handle on the X platform of Tamil Nadu Congress was under fire for posting a derogatory cartoon on soon-to-be sworn-in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking to the press, Congress leader Pawan Khera called the NDA as “Nitish/Naidu Dependent Alliance”. Immediately, the Congress party in Tamil Nadu posted a derogatory cartoon portraying Modi as a differently abled person with crutches meant to imply that the Modi 3.0 government will be formed with the support of Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu.

This post seems to have been deleted now and, in its place, the below post was made.

During the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party meeting at the Samvidhan Sadan in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen conversing with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu.

The BJP won 240 seats in the recently concluded general elections and will be forming a coalition government with the help of allies. The current tally of the NDA stands at 303, with smaller parties joining the NDA.

On 7 June 2024, BJP allies unanimously supported Modi as the NDA parliamentary party leader during the alliance meeting, leading to his appointment as PM-designate by President Droupadi Murmu.
