Taliban suffers heavy losses, 350 Jihadists killed by forces led by Amrullah Saleh in Panjshir valley

After the complete withdrawal of the US forces from Afghanistan, the only resistance against the Taliban is now completely in the hansds of the fighters led by the acting president Amrullah Saleh in the northeastern province Panjshir valley.

Panjshir is the only province, where the the Taliban forces have suffered significant losses even after their blitz across Afghanistan.

However, Northern Alliance claimed that 350 Talibani fighters had been killed. “So far from battle of Khavak last night, taliban has 350 casualties, more than 40 captured & prisoned. NRF got many new American vehicles, weapons & ammunitions as a trophy. Commanded Defense of Khavak,Commander Munib Amiri,” the tweet read.

The Panjshir valley lies in the Hindu Kush mountains, 90 miles north of the capital city of Kabul, which the Taliban took control on August 15 after the collapse of the Afghan government.

In the Panjshir valley now ists Ahmad Massoud, son of famous Afghan commander Ahmad Shah Massoud, and Amrullah Saleh who has said he will not compramise with the Taliban under any condition and he would rather die.
