The MahaYuti government in Maharashtra will implement a drone-based monitoring and digital data maintenance mechanism for fishing vessels on January 9 in a serious bid to prevent illegal fishing and implement the state’s Marine Fishing Regulation (Amendment) Act, 2021.

Newly appointed Minister of Fisheries Nitesh Rane said on Friday that nine drones have been made available on lease for the state’s maritime district, including two units each in Raigad and Ratnagiri and one each in Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, and Mumbai Suburban. A control room will be established in the office of the Commissioner of Fisheries. The minister said the department’s vessels conduct patrolling, but the patrol boats can’t inspect every boat. “Unauthorised boats often escape, and they are difficult to catch. The drone monitoring system will effectively curb illegal fishing,” he added.

Shiv Sena legislator and former MP Nilesh Rane raised the issue of illegal fishing and the menace of unauthorised boats in Ratnagiri and other coastal districts of the state in the state assembly during the winter session. He urged the state government to take stern action. According to the Fisheries Department office, the Fisheries Act aims to protect the interests of the state’s traditional fishing community and curb illegal fishing by migrant fishermen.

Earlier, the Maharashtra Maritime Board had thought of launching drone-based monitoring to keep an eye on illegal fishing activities after traditional fishing communities from Uttan, Vasai and other coastal areas in the state had alleged that the big players were not following the annual monsoon fishing ban imposed along the coastline. A deep sea fishing ban is imposed every year to allow fish to breed and repopulate the water. A 61-day marine fishing ban is imposed along the state’s coastal region from June 1 till July 31.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi welcomed MahaYuti’s resounding mandate in the Maharashtra Assembly polls and said that this was a mandate for ideology and principles that the party constantly endeavours to bring into political discourse.

Trivedi told IANS about the Maharashtra results: ” The People of Maharashtra have clearly chosen ideology over dynastic politics.”

He further stated, “The results we are witnessing so far in Maharashtra are spectacularly in favour of the BJP and the Mahayuti. The BJP is headed for its best-ever performance in the state. The primary reasons for this success are the remarkable developmental work undertaken by the government, the relentless efforts and dedication of the government, the excellent leadership at the state level, and most importantly, the credibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi amongst the people.”

The BJP leader further emphasised that this election was a decisive battle between “Vichar ki Virasat” (legacy of ideals) and “Parivar ki Virasat” (legacy of family).

“We often use the term ‘Vichar Parivar’ (family and ideals). This election was about deciding whether the mandate would go to the legacy of ideals or the legacy of a family. The people of Maharashtra have made it crystal clear—they have blessed the legacy of ideals while rejecting those who, abandoning principles and centering everything around family,” he remarked.

Hours ago, Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena President Eknath Shinde also expressed gratitude to the people of Maharashtra for the landslide mandate and offered special thanks to ‘Ladke Bahin (beloved sisters)’ and ‘Ladka Bhau (beloved Bhau)’ for the overwhelming support. “What we worked on for the last two and half years, we will now do in the next five years,” he said in his first reaction.

“This is a huge mandate, landslide and historical victory,” he claimed. Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra also took to X and wrote, “Ek hain to safe hain! Modi hai to mumkin hai!”

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has reiterated his firm stance on protecting Sanatana Dharma, asserting that any insult to it will be met with a strong response. Speaking at a public meeting in Ballarpur during his campaign for the BJP alliance in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Kalyan emphasized the importance of respecting all religions while defending the Hindu faith.

“We follow Sanatana Dharma and respect everyone, regardless of religion. However, if Sanatana Dharma is insulted, we will respond appropriately,” said Kalyan, addressing a gathering ahead of the state elections. He also praised the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for its significant role in shaping India’s growth. “India could not have reached where it is today without the support of RSS,” Kalyan added.

The Maharashtra elections, scheduled for the day after tomorrow, are witnessing a direct contest between the Mahayuti alliance, comprising BJP, Shiv Sena, and the Nationalist Congress Party, and the Maha Vikas Aghadi, which includes Congress, Uddhav Shiv Sena, and the Nationalist Congress (SP). Raj Thackeray’s Nava Nirman Sena, Bahujan Samaj, and Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi parties are also contesting separately.

Kalyan, who leads the Jana Sena Party in Andhra Pradesh, expressed his commitment to the development of both Maharashtra and Sanatana Dharma. “India is currently the fifth-largest economy, and the NDA government is working tirelessly to elevate it to the third position. We must ensure this progress continues,” he said, urging voters to support the right candidates in the upcoming elections.

Having recently contested the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections in alliance with the National Democratic Alliance, Kalyan reiterated his strong Hindutva views and announced plans to launch a new initiative called the Narasimha Varahi Pada within his party to further promote the values of Sanatana Dharma.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday accused Congress and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of not renaming Aurangabad after Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (a Maratha military king). “When the MahaYuti government formed the government, we renamed it. Maharashtra election is not just an election to elect a new government. In this election, on one side there are patriots who are believers of Sambhaji Maharaj and on the other side, there are people who praise Aurangzeb,” said PM Modi while targeting the Congress and its allies during a poll rally for BJP and MahaYuti nominees.

He asked the people to re-elect the MahaYuti to expedite the state’s development. “Who was most hurt when Aurangabad was renamed as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar? Maharashtra knows that Balasaheb Thackeray raised the demand. The Aghadi government was in power for 2.5 years but did not dare to do so under the pressure of the Congress party. The MahaYuti government renamed the city as soon as it came to power. We fulfilled your wish, we fulfilled Balasaheb Thackeray’s wish,” said the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister said that Maharashtra has to lead the vision of Viksit Bharat. “BJP and MahaYuti are working for the same Sankalp. To achieve this, modern infrastructure is being built. In this entire region, the railway is being modernised. Maharashtra has attracted maximum FDI after the formation of the MahaYuti government. The people have benefitted due to the investment. In this region alone contracts of more than Rs 70,000 crore have been finalised. This will open up new opportunities for development and mobilise more jobs for the youth,” said PM Modi The Prime Minister also blamed the MVA for doing “nothing” except increasing the “problems” of the state.

“MVA has only exacerbated the problems of Maharashtra. There has been a water crisis in Marathwada for a long time but the Congress and Aghadi people always remained sitting idle. During our tenure, concrete efforts were made to fight drought. When the Devendra Fadnavis-led government was in power, it had launched the Jalyukt Shivar Yojana to make Marathwada drought free but it was closed by the MVA government. However, it was again revived after MahaYuti came to power,” the Prime Minister said. He claimed that the Congress party relies on division and not on development to form the government. “Congress stops Dalits, backward classes and tribals from progressing so that they can retain power from generation to generation. That is why Congress has been against reservation from the very beginning,” PM Modi alleged.

He claimed that Congress used to say that reservations were against the country, adding that it considered reservations against merit. “The mentality and agenda of the Congress remained unchanged. They can not come to terms with the fact that an OBC has been the PM in the country for the last 10 years,” PM Modi said. “The ‘Prince’ of Congress, therefore, only claims that his party will scrap reservations when he goes abroad. To further their agenda, Congress and Aghadi are conspiring to divide SCs, STs and OBCs into small castes,” claimed the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took a swipe at the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), saying that it is riding in a vehicle with no wheels or brakes and are fighting with each other to drive it. Terming the MVA as the most unstable vehicle, the Prime Minister claimed that the MahaYuti on the other hand is in a position to provide a stable government for the next five years with a sole goal of development.

He further added that only a stable government can make long-term policies. “You have to remember that the vehicle these Maha Aghadi people are travelling in is a vehicle which has neither wheels nor brakes and there is a fight as to who will drive it. Aghadi is the most unstable vehicle, these people waste their time fighting among themselves. Maharashtra needs a MahaYuti government for the next five years which is stable and whose sole aim is the development of Maharashtra. Only a stable government will be able to make long-term policies for Maharashtra,” said PM Modi at the poll rally for the BJP and MahaYuti nominees in Solapur. The Prime Minister said right now there is a stampede in Aghadi, adding, that there is a tug-of-war going on in Aghadi for the post of Chief Minister.

“One party remains busy the whole day in declaring its leader as the Chief Minister. Other parties and Congress remain busy in rejecting it. Such parties can never form a stable government in Maharashtra,” the Prime Minister said. He also targeted the Congress, saying that although the grand old party ruled the country for decades its thinking is to maintain the problems and keep people entangled in such problems. “For decades, Congress governed the country but left many issues unresolved. They kept people preoccupied with various problems, which has become their typical work culture. As a result of this approach, the farmers in Maharashtra have suffered for many years,” the Prime Minister said. He added that in this region, Congress and its allies failed to address irrigation issues effectively. “In contrast, we have focused on resolving these problems. Thanks to our efforts, the water table in several villages in Solapur is now rising,” the Prime Minister said.

He also informed that Congress wants to end the rights given to the poor and deprived people of the country. “The prince has gone abroad and openly talked about ending the reservation. Congress’s desire to end reservation is not new. There was a time when Congress used to openly give big advertisements in newspapers against the reservation. Today, is the age of the internet now those anti-reservation statements of Congress are available on the internet and social media,” he said. He told the people gathered at the rally that Congress is troubled by MahaYuti’s unity which is why they want to make one caste fight against another caste. “Will you allow this conspiracy of Congress to succeed? We have to remain united to foil the dangerous plans of Congress. Therefore my request to you is – if we are united, we are safe,” said the Prime Minister. He said that when the MahaYuti government, which believes in the “faith” and “culture” of Maharashtra, works, the people of Solapur have seen what kind of results come. “The people of Solapur had been demanding development for decades, the projects that were pending for decades, have been completed by the MahaYuti government,” PM Modi claimed.

The Prime Minister said that the MahaYuti government waived off the electricity bills of farmers, adding that the government’s effort is that farmers do not have to pay electricity bills. “That is why we are engaged in providing solar energy to every farm,” he said. The Prime Minister said that when Congress was in power, only 2 to 3 per cent of ethanol was blended into petrol, adding that after the BJP came to power in 2014, the government decided to increase the ethanol blending. “It has increased to 15 per cent now. I’m targeting ethanol-blending of 20 per cent. The farmers have received Rs 80,000 crore due to ethanol, and the sugarcane farmers were the biggest beneficiaries of it,” he said.

The Prime Minister also informed that the government is working by keeping women at the centre of all public welfare schemes. “Today, the houses being built under the PM Awas Yojana are being built in the name of women. The biggest beneficiaries of the Mudra Scheme are our mothers and sisters. We are engaged in the mission of making three crore sisters Lakhpati Didi,” he said. The Prime Minister said that this change has been possible due to the work of the BJP at the Centre and the MahaYuti government in Maharashtra. “Today we are moving towards building a developed India from a developed Maharashtra. That’s why I say: ‘BJP-MahaYuti ahe, tar gati ahe. Maharashtrachi pragati ahe’,” said the Prime Minister.

Terming it a roadmap for Maharashtra’s development, the BJP, the big brother in the MahaYuti alliance, released its manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections on Sunday. The party promised strict laws against forced and fraudulent conversions in the manifesto.

Further, the party has promised free ration for low-income families under the Akshay Anna Yojana, a rebate to farmers in State GST on the purchase of fertilisers, Rs 6,000 per quintal as MSP for soybean, Bhavantar Yojana to pay farmers the difference between the MSP and the rate at which they sell their crops, Skill Census, Rs 15 lakh interest-free loans for SC, ST and OBC entrepreneurs, reimbursement of tuition and examination fees for OBC, SEBC, EWS, NT and VJNT students.

The manifesto also consists of the MahaYuti’s 10 guarantees announced last week by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, including increase in the monthly financial aid to Rs 2,100 from Rs 1,500 to women beneficiaries under the Ladki Bahin Yojana, farm loan waiver, rise in Samman Nidhi to Rs 15,000 from Rs 12,000, price stabilisation scheme for essential commodities and increase in old age pension to Rs 21,00 from Rs 1,500. The manifesto titled ‘Sankalp Patra-24’ was released on Sunday by Union Home Minister Amit Shah who said that the party’s manifesto is meant for all sections of the society to further increase the pace of Maharashtra’s development in the coming five years.

He said the MahaYuti alliance partners, which are BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, will release their separate manifestos. After the formation of the government, a committee will be formed to select the promises from these documents for their implementation based on priority. The BJP has promised Maharashtra to become a $1 trillion economy by 2028, making the state the capital of Fintech and AI, while Nagpur, Pune and Nashik will be Aerospace hubs. It has proposed creating 50 lakh Lakhpati Didis by 2027 and establishing industrial clusters for every 500 SHGs with a revolving fund of Rs 1,000 crore. Further, the MAHARATHI-ATL will be conducted to analyse the skill gaps based on industry needs. It has proposed establishing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Akanksha Kendra in every district, whereby 10 lakh new entrepreneurs will be created.

BJP has promised to launch the Swami Vivekananda Youth Health Card for annual health checkups of youth, establish the Fort Development Authority to preserve and promote their heritage, adopt the Senior Citizens First policy and implement Aadhaar-enabled service delivery to ensure automated services. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took a dig at the Maha Vikas Aghadi, terming its manifesto as ”sthagiti” (stay) document, meaning that it will be a document suggesting how the Maha Vikas Aghadi government will stop the welfare and development schemes launched by the MahaYuti government after being voted to power.

On Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of playing appeasement politics with the sole intention of achieving power in Maharashtra.

The Home Minister at the poll rally in Jalgaon district’s Raver for BJP and MahaYuti candidates, said: “An organisation of Ulemas demanded 10 per cent reservation for the Muslims in Maharashtra from the Congress. The Maha Vikas Aghadi has crossed all the limits of appeasement due to the greed for power. They cannot do good for Maharashtra.”

The Home Minister added that at least 50 per cent of reservations have already been allocated and to give reservations to the minorities, they would have to take away reservations of the SCs, STs and backward class.

“The Aghadi (Maha Vikas Aghadi comprising Congress, Shiv Sena UBT and NCP-SP) is blinded by the power. However, I assure you that minorities will not be given reservations,” Minister Shah said.

He asserted that the BJP’s alliance has been formed to protect the culture of Maharashtra, adding that the BJP’s alliance is an alliance of parties following the principles of Shivaji Maharaj which will make Maharashtra prosperous. “November 10 is a very important day not only for Maharashtra but for the whole country as it is being celebrated as ‘Shiv Pratap Day’. In 1659, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj hoisted the saffron flag after killing Afzal Khan,” the Home Minister said.

He appealed to vote for the BJP and MahaYuti which will follow the principles of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Amit Shah strongly defended the Centre’s move to table the Waqf Board Amendment Bill saying that opposition parties are strongly opposing it. “Recently, entire villages in Karnataka were declared as Waqf property. Many temples, farmers’ land, and houses of villagers became Wakf property. The same is going to happen in Maharashtra as soon as the Aghadi government is formed, but don’t worry, Modi has decided to amend the Waqf Act,” the Home Minister said. “When our coalition government named Aurangabad after Maharaj Sambhaji, the Aghadi people protested. When Ram Temple was built, they opposed it, they opposed the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, they opposed the abolition of triple talaq,” he asserted.

Home Minister Shah led a scathing attack against the Maha Vikas Aghadi for accusing the MahaYuti government of industries not coming to Maharashtra. “When the MVA government was in power and Uddhav ji was the Chief Minister, Maharashtra was in the fourth place in FDI. Devendra Fadnavis became Deputy Chief Minister and Eknath became Chief Minister. For the last two years, the highest FDI in the whole of India has come to Maharashtra. Maharashtra is number one in investment,” he claimed.

The Home Minister also attacked the MVA for criticising the Ladki Bahin Yojana and said that as soon as the MahaYuti government is formed the monthly financial assistance under the scheme will be increased to Rs 2,100 from Rs 1,500. “Under the Ladli Bahin Yojana, women get Rs 1500, and the Aghadi intends to stop it if they come to power. Be rest assured, that the MahaYuti government is going to be formed. As soon as the government is formed, Rs 1,500 will be increased to Rs 2100,” the Home Minister said. Further, Amit Shah said that the MahaYuti government through Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) will give Rs 15,000 annually to every farmer and it will increase 20 per cent MSP. “The pensions of the senior citizens, widows and divyangs will be increased to Rs 2,100 from Rs 1,500. Every year 25 lakh jobs will be created by the MahaYuti government,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday appealed to the voters of Maharashtra to re-elect the Mahayuti alliance comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP to increase the pace of development and oppose the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) which will put brakes on the state’s growth.

PM Modi asserted that the MVA would scrap welfare and development schemes brought out by the Eknath Shinde-led Mahayuti government in the state.

PM Modi, who started his poll campaign from tribal dominated Dhule, said Maharashtra trusts the NDA and will vote for the Mahayuti alliance in the upcoming elections.

“I appeal to you to vote for the Mahayuti so that it will take the progress of Maharashtra to new heights in the next five years. Only the Mahayuti government can provide the good governance that Maharashtra needs,” PM Modi said.

“On the other hand, the Maha Vikas Aghadi vehicle has neither wheels nor brakes and there is a fight even for sitting on the driver’s seat. The Mahayuti government, which has taken several decisions to speed up development, will continue to boost the state’s growth and also promote the development of various sections. But be aware of the Congress and Maha Vikas Aghadi which are against development and bent on putting brakes on the state’s growth,” said the Prime Minister.

He praised the Mahayuti government’s ‘Vachannama (manifesto)’ comprising 10 guarantees covering various sections and claimed that it is being discussed across the country.

“Everyone has their own goal when they enter politics. People like us consider the public as a form of god and have come into politics to serve the people. Whereas for some people the basis of their politics is to ‘rob people’. When people like Maha Vikas Aghadi, who have the intention of looting people, come to power, they stop development and indulge in corruption in every scheme,” claimed the Prime Minister.

However, he said that the Mahayuti government has restored Maharashtra’s pride and glory while marching on the development path. The Prime Minister slammed the Congress party for hatching a conspiracy to divide the SCs, STs and OBCs by pitting various castes against each other as the grand old party never desires these communities to develop and progress. However, he gave a call to remain united and foil the Congress party’s game plan to divide castes.

“Ek hain to safe hain (If you are united you are safe). We have to remain united and foil the dangerous game of Congress and keep moving ahead on the path of development,” he said, amid slogans raised by the people at the rally.

“A dangerous game of pitting one caste against another is being played by the Congress. And this game is being played because the Congress can never see the Dalits, Backward Classes and tribals progressing. This is the history of the Congress,” he said.

The Prime Minister also lashed out at the Congress and the INDIA bloc for the reinstatement of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir while referring to the passage of a resolution in the Assembly there.

“Don’t spearhead Pakistan’s agenda. Don’t speak the language of terrorists. You (Congress and INDIA bloc) will not succeed in your plan till Modi is here,” he warned. He strongly defended the Centre’s move to abrogate Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and thereby implement the BR Ambedkar-penned Constitution there.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president and Deputy Maharashtra Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who is pitted against nephew and NCP-SP nominee Yugendra Pawar, in a bid to cheer up his supporters, declared that “MahaYuti yenar yenar yenar” (MahaYuti will come back to power). Pawar’s announcement was similar to what ex-CM Devendra Fadnavis said in the run-up to the 2019 assembly elections – ‘Mi Punha Yein’ (I will return).

Ajit Pawar, who is camping in Baramati during the Diwali festival, has been visiting villages and meeting the voters since early morning. He is seeking votes on the basis of a slew of development works carried out in Baramati and also a number of welfare and development schemes including Ladki Bahin Yojana implemented by the MahaYuti government. Ajit Pawar, who is not leaving any stone unturned for his victory, especially after his wife Sunetra Pawar lost to his estranged uncle Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule in the general elections from Baramati, at Zargarwadi village on Friday, claimed that he will emerge victorious on the strength of development of Baramati.

“I will win based on Baramati’s progress, which was possible due to a number of initiatives launched during my term. In order to benefit Baramati taluka more, no matter what happens tomorrow, the MahaYuti government will come back to power (yenar, yenar, yenar) and I will get a good position in the government,” he said amid thunderous applause from the people gathered for the meeting. Ajit Pawar, who deserted Sharad Pawar and joined BJP and Shiv Sena, dropped hints that voters would vote for MahaYuti in order to further increase the pace of development and get more Central funds. By declaring that MahaYuti will come back to power, his attempt was to appeal to the voters not to get carried away by the Maha Vikas Aghadi’s narrative and especially by NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar’s poll tactics, not only in Baramati, but also in the state.

Further, Ajit Pawar has stepped up his outreach with voters knowing that his mentor and NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar, cannot be underestimated in luring voters due to his political career of over five decades. Ajit Pawar, without naming Sharad Pawar, said: “Some had decided to elect Tai (Supriya) to the Lok Sabha and Dada (Ajit Pawar) to the legislative Assembly. However, I won’t say much about it. During the 2019 assembly elections, I was elected by 1,95,641 votes. Because of my election, I brought funds worth Rs 9,000 crore to Baramati.” He appealed to the voters to give him yet another chance to win with a good margin of votes in the Assembly elections slated for November 20. “I have come to you on the basis of my work. My request is… I have been doing your work for five years, now you support me. I am bound to do your work for the next five years,” said Ajit Pawar.

He told the party workers and people from Baramati that he will try to visit every village and interact with them. Ajit Pawar’s move to stay in Baramati during Diwali festival is important as Sharad Pawar is also camping there and meeting people. The senior Pawar addressed several small meetings on Thursday and Friday and tomorrow he will meet a stream of people who will come to Baramati to wish him on the occasion of Diwali Padwa. On November 5, Sharad Pawar will hold meetings at Shirsuphal, Supe, Morgaon and Someshwar in Baramati taluka and on the same day he also interact with businessmen, lawyers and doctors.

On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed confidence that the Mahayuti (grand alliance) comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP will return to power after the forthcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra. However, he gave an ambitious target to the BJP workers to muster a grand victory for the party in the 2029 Assembly elections and form a solo BJP government in the state.

In his address at the interactive meeting with party functionaries at Dadar in north-central Mumbai, HM Shah said the Mahayuti government is certainly retaining power in Maharashtra. “Only governments that do good work win elections. We have formed the third government in a row at the Centre. No party has the strength to stop the Mahayuti from returning to power again in the state.

HM Shah asked the party functionaries not to think of pre-poll surveys. His message to the party workers was to step up outreach with voters and increase the booth-wise voting percentage for the victory of Mahayuti in the state. “As there is a government, there will be resentment against it. Try to remove the resentment against the Corporators, Legislators and MPs. We need ten workers at each booth.

From Dussehra till the end of the campaign, these activists will continue to move in their given booths. “Get like-minded voters to vote. Make at least 20 people BJP members at each booth. Do not ask for votes while making them party members. After becoming a member, they will automatically understand the importance of voting,” said HM Shah.

He asked the BJP workers to implement the election plan that the Maharashtra BJP will develop. “Deliver that plan at Mandal and Ward level. Victory will be yours,” he claimed. “For the first time in the last 60 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi set the record for consecutively forming the government for the third time. Maharashtra Assembly election is an election that will change the state and direction of the country, and the Mahayuti will win it,” Shah said. He further asked the party workers to increase voting by 10 per cent. “I rose from an activist to the post of National President. So I am very happy when I interact with workers. Some elections determine the direction of politics in this country. Speaking from my experience, the election of Maharashtra will change the direction and condition of the country’s politics. No political party has won in the past three times in a row,” said HM Shah.

He said that the BJP was not in power to merely rule but to work on ideology, adding that the party came to power to construct the Ram temple and scrap Article 370. “After winning the election in Maharashtra, the Uniform Civil Code will be implemented in the country. No one can stop us from bringing the Uniform Civil Code if we come to power in Maharashtra,” HM Shah added.

He told party workers that Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis could solve the problems in Maharashtra. “Terrorism and Naxalism were eliminated in the last ten years after the BJP came to power. Due to the leadership of PM Modi, the prestige of Indians worldwide has increased,” he opined.

Despite the BJP winning only two seats in the Lok Sabha, no worker had left the party. This is our history. The activists of the 1980s knew that they were going to lose the elections but they did not care. We have come to build a great India in politics, not for the Prime Minister or any other post. Governments come and go. Parties leave policies and ideas. Our government lasted for ten years. But we have not given up thoughts or policies”, claimed HM Shah.
