Sushant Singh Rajput Case: CBI probe lawful, Mumbai Police to handover all evidences to CBI

The Supreme Court on Wednesday (August 19) ruled that the CBI probe launched into the FIR filed against actress Rhea Chakraborty was lawful. The single judge bench of Justice Hrishikesh Roy directed the Mumbai Police to all evidences to CBI.

Any other cases registered in the future in relation to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death will also be looked into by the CBI.

It also said that the FIR lodged by Bihar Police was lawful.

After the judgement was delivered, the Maharashtra government sought to challenge it by appealing against it. But the Court declined.

FIR against Rhea Chakraborty was filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father. The FIR was lodged in Patna by the Bihar Police when Mumbai Police were investigating Sushant’s death.
