Karur Chinnasamy, a former Minister who was also the DMK’s agriculture wing secretary has said that DMK chief MK Stalin cannot make any decisions on his own as he is under the control of his family. He also said that the DMK leader cannot come to power and even if he does, it is of no use.
Speaking to reporters at a press meet yesterday, Chinnasamy said “The DMK leader can’t take any decision on his own. He is under the control of his family. The DMK chief cannot come to power. Even if he does, he will be of no use.”
Chinnasamy quit the DMK in March 2021 and joined the AIADMK after he was denied party ticket to contest from Aravakurichi constituency for the 2021 Assembly Elections. The party had fielded R. Elango, son of former MLA Mojanur Ramasamy allegedly at the behest of V. Senthil Balaji. Back then, he had said that the he was unable to bear the insult meted out to him despite being a true worker for the party. He added that the DMK was influenced by a power centre in the family.
Chinnasamy started his political career with the AIADMK. He was elected as MLA from Karur Assembly constituency twice. He had also served as Industries Minister during Jayalalithaa’s regime.
