Shops sell spoilt food in front of Tirunallar Saneeswaran Temple

The Thirunallar Saneeswaran Temple is one that is a specific temple for Saneeshwara. Devotees visit this temple to seek redressal for their grievances. One of the most important form of remedy is to provide food as charity, especially to those in need. Knowing the need of the devotees, small shops near the temple prepare food packets and sell them to devotees, so that the latter can give them as charity.

Recently, the district administration was informed that one of the shops is selling spoilt food to the devotees. Subsequently, under the leadership of Food Security officer Ravichandran, a investigation was undertaken. The food packets from different shops were checked by Ravichandran. On finding that some of the food were extremely spoilt, he asked the owners to consume the same. However, they hesitated to consume it.

Ravichandran then told Media channels, “Henceforth, unexpected investigations will be done at these shops.” Such atrocities taking place in front of the temple has become an important matter of discussion amongst spiritualists in the state.
