These tablets have been given a 6 month internet connection plan.
On September 9, Vice Chancellor of SASTRA University Dr. S. Vaidhyasubramaniam tweeted that he would like to give tablets to children of the university’s non-teaching staff. He had requested for leads to purchase at least 100 tablets.

The tablets were distributed by Dr. S. Vaidhyasubramaniam to members of the non-teaching staff like watchmen, hygiene workers, cooks, pune, office assistants, etc.
