Speaking in the Uttar Pradesh assembly on the last day of the monsoon season, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a dig at the Opposition which is trying to create a divide by developing sympathy for Lord Parashurama.
However, Yogi said that there was no difference between Ram and Parshuram. This sharp rebuke came after SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and BSP president Mayawati said that they would install idols of Parshuram. Replying to this statement, Yogi said, “Both Ram and Parshuram are incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The difference is in just some people’s mind,”.
The UP CM was categoric and said that Ram and Parashuram was the same for Hindus as both are incarnations of Lord Vishnu. “But some people indulge in dirty politics by harping on the difference between the two,” he added.
“These are the same people who would abuse the community by talking about tilak-taraju and are again trying to spread venom in society. However, it is the work of Ram and would continue like this,” Adityanath said, apparently targeting BSP Chief Mayawati.
