Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress and a close associate of Rahul Gandhi, has said that India should be more inclusive and accommodate Bangladeshis who enter illegally into India.
In a widely circulated video on social media, Pitroda remarked, “So, from this the message is that – We don’t think about our planet. We’re not worried about global warming. And we’re not worried about people as well. Because we’re behind immigration. These people are poor. These people are hungry. They do so much work and come here. Ofcourse they come illegally. That’s also not correct. We understand that. But we’ll go behind immigration. We’ll go after Bangladeshis. We’ll go after minorities. As opposed to saying we’ll include everybody. If we’ve to suffer little bit, it’s okay. We will suffer little bit. We will share. But nobody wants to share. They want to keep their pie bigger and bigger”
