Puthiya Thalaimurai And Other Dravidianist Media Journo Peddle Rhetoric Against Israel Even As Hamas Unleashes Barbarity

On the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, Islamic terrorists belonging to Hamas infiltrated Israel from Gaza and launched a massive rocket attack killing over 250 Israelis with thousands wounded. Many Israelis have also been taken as hostages by the Islamic terrorists of Hamas.

The unprecedented surprise attack by Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip started at around  6:30 AM at a time when the Israelis celebrated the last day of the weeklong Sukkot festival.

Disturbing videos have emerged on social media, showing Hamas terrorists kidnapping Israelis and displaying them on Gaza’s streets. One particularly disturbing video depicted the body of a deceased woman, stripped down to her undergarments, being paraded on a vehicle amid chants of “Allah hu Akbar.” In response, the Israeli government initiated Operation Swords of Iron, emphasizing that the perpetrators would face severe consequences.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi unequivocally condemned these acts of terror against Israel. He expressed his solidarity with Israel, offering his thoughts and prayers for the innocent victims of the Hamas terrorist attack.

Other world powers including the UK, USA, France have condemned the terrorist attacks on Israel by Hamas terrorists.

Amid all of this, the Dravidianist media in Tamil Nadu have been peddling anti-Israel rhetoric saying that the attack has been response to the “oppressive” Israeli occupation.

Bernard D’ Sami, a professor of the Loyola College, Chennai told on air in Puthiya Thalaimurai “The reason for the ‘tensions’ is people who go from the Gaza Strip to work in Israel.. the gates were closed and 243 people were barred from working there. They were put to so much distress. If we look at it today, in this war, we’ve to see on whose side Iran will stand, on whose side Hezbollah will stand.

The Puthiya Thalaimurai anchor Thamizhiniyan interjects and says “You’re raising the question of who will stand on which side in this war. You also say that abundant excesses have been committed by Israel continuously over the years. Thank you for your views Mr. Bernard D’ Sami.

Despite ample video and photographic evidence of the barbarity unleashed by Hamas terrorists, the Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist goes on to say “Though it is being said that this attack was done by the Hamas, Israel has been continuously for years committing excesses against Palestinians. This is what people who spoke said before.

He also peddled borderline anti-Semitism saying that the attack on Israel has gained worldwide traction because Israelis (Jews) exist as power centres in many countries.

Even recently, Ukraine-Russia war is happening. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a Jew. Many countries of the world support him.“, the Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist said.

Thamizhiniyan also said that the India-Israel relationship has grown stronger in the recent past. “During the Congress period, until 2014, India had taken a stance in favour of Palestine. It began changing slightly during the Manmohan Singh period. After Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, Israel-India relationship is becoming stronger. Defence-related technology, attempts to buy defence equipments and many such contracts, attempts to bring Israel technology to India, all these are being done by India continuously. Through several think-tank, attempts to create a pro-Israeli stance in India can be seen.“, the Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist said.

India should stand with people of Palestine who have been continuously oppressed. India has always had the police of standing against wherever mistakes are being done, wherever there are affected people.” the Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist further said.

Another Dravidianist journalist who is known for his pro-DMK stance went on to glorify the horrific terror attack by Hamas terrorists saying “Hamas has destroyed the entire image of Israel… in one fell swoop it has shaken Israel… what will happen next…”
