President Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize by Norwegian Member of Parliament

US President Donald Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by the Norweignian Member of Parliament Christian Tybring-Gjedde for brokering the Israel-UAE peace deal.

This is the second time the lawmaker has put forward President Trump’s name.

Mr. Christian Tybring-Gjedde was quoted saying in the Fox News that President Trump had done more trying to create peace between nations than most other nominees.

“As it is expected other Middle Eastern countries will follow in the footsteps of the UAE, this agreement could be a game changer that will turn the Middle East into a region of cooperation and prosperity,” Mr. Tybring-Gjedde’s letter to the Nobel Committee read.

Earlier, Tybring-Gjedde nominated President Trump for Nobel Peace Prize in 2019 for his efforts to establish diplomatic relations with North Korea. Trump had said that he deserved a Nobel Peace Prize for his work on North Korea and Syria but added that he might probably not get it.
