Pakistan Directorate of Intelligence issued documents to Syed Salahuddin, Chairman of United Jihad Council and Emir of Hizbul Mujahideen

In a revelation that was already known, documents issued by Directorate of Intelligence of Pakistan government states, Syed Salahuddin, Chairman of United Jihad Council and Emir of terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahideen works for the dreaded Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Pakistan is known as the global hub for Islamic terror organisation and often it is the Army that uses them as proxies under the guise of non-state actors to carry out terror attacks in India and other parts of the world.

However, what was known publicly now can be supported substantiated with document procured by Indian intelligence that puts the onus on Pakistan as a state sponsorer of terror in the name of Islam.

The document mentions that Syed Salahuddin was the bonafide official of Directorate of Intelligence and Salahuddin worked for the ISI. In the document ISI gave him “security clearance” and that he should not be “unnecessarily” stopped at checkpoints.

Implication with FATF

Now the document is out in open Pakistan’s position will be further weakened at Financial Action Task Force (FATF) which is the global money laundering and terror financing watchdog.

Pakistan has been on FATF grey list for financing terrorism and could be in the Black-list which will lead to tough economic sanctions on an already beleaguered Pakistan economy.

The FATF will review Pakistan’s performance in stopping terror financing come October. However, the revelation about Syed Salahuddin and Pakistan’s admission of international Narco-Terrorist Dawood Ibrahim staying in Karachi will make the review a lot tougher and complicated for Pakistan.
