Pahalgam Massacre Fallout: 7 Times How Islamist Mobs Tried To Silence Anti-Pakistan Protests

On 22 April 2025, terrorists linked to Pakistan brutally murdered 28 tourists, majorly Hindu, in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, after identifying them by their religion. The massacre triggered widespread protests across India against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. However, multiple incidents have since emerged where Islamist mobs violently opposed these demonstrations. This report documents seven major cases of attacks and threats by Islamist rioters between 25 April and 26 April 2025.

#1 Kidnapping And Rape Threats For Speaking Out Against Terrorism – North 24 Parganas, West Bengal

On 25 April 2025 Priyanka Dutta, a Hindu woman from Ashok Nagar-Kalyangarh, faced rape and abduction threats from several Islamist rioters, including an individual named MJ Maroof, after she criticized the Pahalgam terror attack on social media. According to Dutta, police officers — including 7–8 constables and two officers-in-charge — arrived at her home and pressured her to delete the video. She eventually removed her post under duress.

#2 Attack On Rally Over Anti-Pakistan Posters – Jaipur, Rajasthan

On 25 April 2025, in Jaipur, Hindu groups organized a protest rally against the Pakistan-sponsored Pahalgam killings. As the rally approached Jama Masjid near Badi Chaupad, it was violently attacked by an Islamist mob.

The attackers claimed they were enraged by anti-Pakistan posters placed outside the mosque premises.

#3 Islamist Women Threaten Violence Over Pakistani Flag on Road – Kalaburagi, Karnataka

On 25 April 2025, during a protest organized by Bajrang Dal in Kalaburagi, workers laid Pakistani flags on the road to express anger against the Pahalgam terror attack. Two Islamist women wearing burqas confronted the protestors, removed the flags, and warned that any further display of the Pakistani flag on the road would lead to violence.

#4 Death Threats After Pakistani Flags Displayed in Protest – Sundergarh, Odisha

On 25 April 2025, in Sundergarh, Hindu organizations placed Pakistani flags on the road to protest the Pakistan-backed massacre of Hindus in Pahalgam. Members of the Islamist community objected, gathered in large numbers, and issued death threats to the organizers for allegedly disrespecting the Pakistani flag.

#5 Pakistani Flag Defended asPart of Islam,Protest Disrupted – Nala Sopara, Maharashtra

On 26 April 2025, in Nala Sopara, Maharashtra, a protest was held where Pakistani flags were laid on the road to condemn the terrorist killings in Pahalgam. A group of Islamist youths, led by Mohammad Usman, disrupted the protest, claiming that the Pakistani flag is apart of Islamand must not be disrespected. The group openly expressed support for Pakistan and demanded that the Pakistani flag should not be placed on the road in the area.

#6 Police Stop Burning of Pakistani Flag in Muslim-Dominated Area – West Bengal

On 26 April 2025, Hindu youths pasted Pakistani flag stickers on the road to protest the Pahalgam massacre.

When they attempted to burn the flags in a Muslim-dominated area, members of the Muslim community objected strongly.

Police intervened, stopped the burning, and claimed that the area wassensitive,effectively preventing any protest action involving the Pakistani flag.

#7 Hindu Youths Attacked With Weapons for Burning Pakistani, Palestinian Flags – Mumbai, Maharashtra

On 26 April 2025, in the Santacruz East station area of Mumbai, Hindu organizations pasted Pakistani and Palestinian flags on the road to protest the Pahalgam killings. Protesters highlighted that Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist organization, had earlier aligned with Pakistan to promote terrorism in Kashmir. Despite these clarifications, Islamist mobs violently attacked the protesting Hindu youths with sharp weapons, angered by the placement and burning of the flags.
