A shocking double stabbing inside a North London school has triggered a counter-terror investigation after a 13-year-old suspect allegedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” while attacking two fellow students, leaving both victims seriously injured.
The incident took place at Kingsbury High School in Brent, where the accused, identified as a former pupil, is believed to have used his old school uniform to re-enter the premises undetected.
According to police and witness accounts, the suspect entered the school around 12:40 PM on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, allegedly armed with a knife and pepper spray.
Horrified students said the boy sprayed a teacher with the chemical agent during a science lesson before launching the knife attack.
One victim, a 12-year-old boy, was allegedly stabbed in the neck after attempting to pull a fire alarm to alert others.
A second victim, aged 13, was stabbed in the midriff in what investigators believe may have been a targeted assault.
Both boys were rushed to hospital in serious condition, with ambulance authorities later confirming that at one stage their injuries were considered life-threatening. One of the victims was taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.
Sources and student accounts suggested the attacker had been excluded from the school weeks earlier following a fight with the older victim, a Year 8 pupil.
Witnesses alleged he returned to the school to confront the boy he had previously clashed with.
One student recounted that the attacker entered wearing his old Kingsbury High School uniform and was not initially suspected by teachers. He allegedly pepper-sprayed a teacher before stabbing the intended target.
The same witness said the 12-year-old victim was attacked after he tried to raise the alarm and was chased and stabbed in the neck while fleeing.
Students described scenes of chaos and panic.
One girl posted on TikTok that she saw blood across the classroom floor and initially thought it was paint from an art or science project until she saw a boy clutching his bleeding neck.
Another student said there was screaming, crying, and large amounts of blood, adding that pupils who witnessed the incident were terrified. He said the entire school was held outside for hours in freezing conditions following the lockdown.
Parents also described the trauma. One father said children were deeply shaken after witnessing the attack unfold in front of them.
A local resident said she heard children sobbing as they left the school, recalling one boy telling his mother the stabbing had been to the neck.
A 13-year-old suspect was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Officers also recovered the weapon believed to have been used in the attack.
Detective Superintendent Luke Williams of the Metropolitan Police said officers responded within 13 minutes of the emergency call.

He confirmed both victims were hospitalised and that police were not currently seeking any additional suspects.
Due to surrounding circumstances, including alleged slogans shouted during the attack, the investigation is now being led by Counter Terrorism Policing London.
However, police stressed that the incident has not yet been formally declared a terrorist attack and that investigators are keeping an open mind regarding motive.
Williams said the probe was fast-moving and aimed at establishing the full circumstances as quickly as possible, adding that officers would remain in the area to reassure the community.
Kingsbury High School was placed on lockdown following the incident, with no one allowed to enter or leave while investigations were carried out. Students from the lower school were held in the playground at police request while enquiries were conducted.
