“No effort will be spared to find the culprits”: MEA Jaishankar on blast outside Israeli Embassy

After a low-intensity blast at the Israeli Embassy in Delhi, Foreign Ministers of India and Israel had a phone conversation with each other.

In a tweet Indian Minister for External Affairs has said that India takes this matter ‘very seriously’ and has assured Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi of fullest cooperation to Israeli officials.

“Matter is under investigation and no effort will be spared to find the culprits,” Jaishankar said.

Security personnel have cordoned off the road leading to the embassy and placed airports on alert.

Minsiter Ashkenazi too took to Twitter and said “The Indian FM assured me that the Indian authorities are committed to the security of all Israeli diplomatic staff and will continue to act resolutely to locate all those involved in the explosion. I thanked him and promised full cooperation and any help required from Israel.”

A spokesperson from the Delhi Police observed that “a very low-intensity improvised device went off… No injury to any person was reported and nor was there any damage to any property except the glass panes of three vehicles parked nearby.”
