BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai has said that the medical entrance exam National Eligibility cum Entrance Test upholds the principle of social justice by allowing the poor and those studying in government schools to study medicine.
Annamalai was in Coimbatore where cadres from other political parties had come to join the BJP. Addressing reporters after the event, he said that various service programmes are being organized by the party cadres to mark Prime Minister Modi’s 71st birthday. He also condemned Coimbatore district’s police force for functioning like a mercenary of the DMK as they had removed the posters put up for PM Modi’s birthday.
He said that the BJP was deeply saddened by the suicide of students in connection with the NEET exam and accused the DMK of politicizing NEET. He said that NEET upholds social justice in the truest sense.
He also said that DMK is solely responsible for the suicides as they had misled students by claiming to scrap the exam once they came to power.
