“NEET resolution is waste, Admit defeat and move on”: Dr. Krishnasamy writes to TN CM

Puthiya Tamilagam party leader Dr. Krishnaswamy has written a letter to Chief Minister Stalin saying it is unnecessary to pass a resolution in the assembly again on the NEET examination.

Addressing his letter to Stalin, Dr. Krishnaswamy had stated, “After winning the 2019 parliamentary elections and the 2021 assembly elections, you bought votes by promising that the NEET selection would be canceled with a single signature. The NEET selection was debated in Parliament and passed in both houses and became law. You are well aware that it is impossible for a state government to exempt itself from it. However, it does not seem fair to think of using the Governor of Tamil Nadu as a weapon and shield for your political approach and sacrificing the people of Tamil Nadu in the process.”

“Please understand the political and social realities. No rural, poor, innocent students are left behind or disadvantaged by the NEET exam. If they are relatively facing some difficulties try to further strengthen their curriculum in the state and increase the contribution of Tamil Nadu students at the All India level and provide specialised training to the students.”, Dr. Krishnasamy said.

“Again convening an assembly meeting on the 8th of February, hoping for a resolution, and pressuring the governor will only create more boredom among the public. It will also make you politically alienated and expose the tactic of using the hon’ble governor as a weapon and shield to cover up your political failures. So please drop this irresponsible move.” he further added.

He said that certain electoral promises may go unfulfilled sometimes and that the DMK and its allies will have to admit their defeat in failing to keep their promise made on NEET. He asked them to focus other many livelihood issues of the people of Tamil Nadu.

“Do not use the governor as a weapon and shield for politics! Another legislative resolution on NEET selection is unnecessary!!”, he said.
