Just days before the Cockroach Party’s proposed nationwide protest on October 2 against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, a purported online discussion involving Cockroach party supporters has surfaced, with participants allegedly discussing legal support for protesters, coordination between state units, media backing and the possibility of a Nepal-, Sri Lanka- or Bangladesh-like agitation against the government, as reported in OpIndia.
The purported discussion, which is undated, was reportedly conducted online and involved participants identified as Rakesh, Milan Nayak, Sarthak Tripathy, Sushrut Das, Mojibul Haque and others. Parts of the conversation were reportedly conducted in Odia, Hindi and Bangla.
According to the discussion, participants claimed that Cockroach party had access to hundreds of lawyers, including lawyers practising in the Supreme Court, and that protesters would receive legal assistance if cases were registered against them.
Cockroach Party Supporter Claims Government Would “Collapse Within 30 Days”
One participant identified as Rakesh claimed that Cockroach party had access to between 300 and 500 Supreme Court lawyers and warned that if the government acted against Cockroach party supporters, it would face a large-scale agitation.
“We have 300–500 lawyers who are working in the Supreme Court. If the Government of India touches anyone from CJP, I am giving it in writing that the government will collapse in 30 days, just like what happened in Nepal, Sri Lanka, and also in Bangladesh,” Rakesh is heard saying.
He further told fellow participants not to be afraid of possible action, claiming that the entire Cockroach party would come to the rescue of its members.
“So there is no need to worry or get scared, because if anything happens, then the entire CJP will come for our rescue,” he said.
The comments appeared to refer to mass protests and political upheavals in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as examples of the kind of mobilisation the participants believed could force a change in government.
The discussion also included allegations against the Central government. Milan Nayak is heard claiming that the government was targeting journalists who criticised it.
“The government is killing journalists, those who are trying to raise their voice against the government,” Nayak said.

Discussion Over Cases Against Those Who “Touched” Cockroach Party Supporters
The participants also discussed individuals they claimed had faced legal consequences after allegedly attacking or confronting people associated with Cockroach party or its supporters.
The conversation referred to an alleged assault involving the father of a person identified as Abdul and to Swatantra Bhardwaj, who the participants alleged had attacked the father of activist Nishu Azad.
The exchange reportedly went:
“They touched Abdul’s father, right?”
“They are in jail now.”
“The one who touched Nishu Azad’s father… he beat him up, right?”
“What happened? He is in jail.”
The participants then claimed that the person concerned was close to senior BJP leaders.
“He is very close to all the ministers.”
“He is like a brother and a son to the big BJP ministers.”
“What happened? He is in Tihar jail now…”
“So that is the power.”
“Exactly. That is our power.”
Another Clip Claims SIR Boycott Will Be Discussed At October 2 Protest
Another clip from the purported discussion was shared on X by Binay Kumar Singh, Director of the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Research Foundation, on September 27.
In the clip, two individuals identified as Cockroach party supporters Rakesh and Sushrut Das discuss the SIR controversy and the October 2 protest.
One participant alleged that the BJP government had removed Muslim names from voter lists through SIR. Rakesh reportedly responded that the issue would be taken up during the October 2 protests and that SIR would be opposed.
According to the account accompanying the clip, Rakesh said that the October 2 protest would cover the issue and that SIR would be “completely boycotted and stopped/banned.”

Cockroach Party Supporter Claims Legal Team Of 2,000 Lawyers
Another portion of the purported discussion concerned legal assistance for Cockroach party volunteers in Odisha.
Mojibul Haque and Milan Nayak reportedly asked Rakesh about the availability of legal support for CJP workers in Odisha.
Rakesh allegedly claimed that he was connected with a Cockroach party legal team comprising around 2,000 lawyers operating across India.
He reportedly said that if BJP governments at the Centre or in Odisha registered FIRs against Cockroach party workers, the organisation’s lawyers would help challenge those cases, including taking them to the Supreme Court if required.
The message conveyed to Cockroach party workers was that they need not fear possible police cases because legal assistance would be available to them.
Odisha And West Bengal Units Discuss Protest Coordination
The purported discussion also focused on coordination between Cockroach party’s Odisha and West Bengal units ahead of the October 2 mobilisation.
According to a post by Binay Kumar Singh, Cockroach party’s West Bengal unit had planned an online training session for the Odisha unit on September 27.
The discussion reportedly identified Abdul, who runs Cockroach party’s social media cell in West Bengal, and Prakruti, described as a university professor, as people who would train the Odisha unit.
The participants also discussed arrangements for supporters travelling between West Bengal and Odisha for protests.
According to Singh’s account, the West Bengal unit offered to cover travel expenses, food and accommodation for Cockroach party Odisha workers who wanted to participate in protests in West Bengal. Similarly, if protests were held in Odisha, the Odisha unit would provide support to Cockroach party workers travelling from West Bengal.
Singh described this arrangement as a “synergy cooperation” between the two state units.
The discussion also reportedly included plans for a larger protest in Odisha.
Participants Discuss Alleged Support From Media Outlets
The discussion went beyond legal assistance and protest coordination, with participants also discussing media organisations and journalists whom they believed could help present their version of events if the protests escalated.
The participants reportedly named Lallantop, Red Mike, News Pinch and Peek TV.
They also discussed seeking assistance from Cockroach senior leadership, including Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka.

Cockroach Party’s October 2 agitation against CEC Gyanesh Kumar over SIR comes amid a discussion in which supporters allegedly talk of forcing a government collapse through mass protests. One participant reportedly invokes Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as examples, while others discuss lawyers, inter-state mobilisation and sympathetic media support. The discussion follows earlier “Nepal Bana Denge” rhetoric by Cockroach supporters. Cockroach party founder Abhijeet Dipke has announced nationwide protests demanding Kumar’s resignation, while Mumbai Police has denied permission for the proposed Shivaji Park gathering. Dipke has subsequently threatened a “Jail Bharo Andolan.”
