A woman has lodged a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner’s Office seeking action against one Raja for giving her death threats at the instigation of Sholinganallur DMK MLA Aravind Ramesh in order grab the land she owns.

The complaint states that Raja, the driver of DMK legislator allegedly intimidated her with some goons and issued death threats with the intention of grabbing their land.

She also alleged that in November last year, DMK MLA Aravind Ramesh himself came with his men and threatened to take the land if they did not give it to Raja.

On 22nd August 2021, Raja had reportedly tried to attack her daughter with a machete and broke down the wall using a crowbar. This act has apparently been captured by the CCTV camera placed in the vicinity.

Though the woman had filed complaints earlier due to this continuous harassment, no action had been taken.

In this light, the woman has once again filed a complaint against Raja and his family calling for immediate action on them.
