Madurai Tailor, Abdul Majeed Khan, Arrested Under POCSO For Sexually Harassing Minor Girls

A 61-year-old tailor, Abdul Majeed Khan, was arrested by the All Women Police (South) in Madurai for allegedly sexually harassing two minor girls. The accused, a resident of Ellis Nagar, reportedly targeted the victims—both aged 10—while they were playing in a park.

According to police sources, Khan, who is known to the family of one of the survivors, had taken the girl to the park under the pretext of letting her play. There, he allegedly assaulted her and another girl present at the spot. After returning home, the victims informed their parents, who immediately lodged a complaint with the police.

Following an investigation, Khan was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and taken into custody. Further legal proceedings are underway.

Authorities have urged parents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to law enforcement immediately.
