In a surprising turn of events, the Kanyakumari District All Minority Federation (KKMF) has commended the AIADMK and its General Secretary, Edappadi K. Palaniswami, for removing MLA and senior member Thalavai N. Sundaram from all party positions. This action was taken due to Sundaram’s participation in a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) rally, which he flagged off in Kanyakumari last week.
KKMF, led by General Secretary A. Meeran Mydeen, expressed their support through a special appreciation letter, passing a resolution favoring the AIADMK’s decision to dismiss Sundaram from his roles as organizing secretary and Kanyakumari East district secretary on 12 October 2024.
The letter states that the participation of AIADMK’s Kanyakumari MLA and East District Secretary in the RSS rally, which he flagged off, has hurt the sentiments of the minority community. It praises General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami for recognizing these sentiments and making the bold decision to remove Thalavai N. Sundaram from all party positions. The Kanyakumari District All Minority Federation welcomes this military-like discipline within the party and expresses heartfelt gratitude through a resolution and an appreciation letter sent to EPS to showcase their support.
