Israel Defence Force successfully rescued four Israeli nationals – Noa Argamani (26), Almog Meir Jan (21), Andrey Kozlov (27), and Shlomi Ziv (40) – who were among hundreds taken captive by Hamas militants during the 7 October 2023 terrorist attack. The hostages had been abducted from the Supernova music festival near the Israel-Gaza border.
A shocking revelation indicated that Argamani was held in the residence of Abdullah Al-Jamal in Nuseirat, an area previously untouched by Israeli ground forces. Al-Jamal was associated with Al Jazeera as a freelancer and also worked for The Palestine Chronicle and the Palestinian Ministry of Labor under Hamas.
“Journalist” Abdallah Aljamal was a Hamas terrorist holding Almog, Andrey and Shlomi hostage in his family’s home in Nuseirat.

The rescue operation, codenamed “Seeds of Summer” and later “Operation Arnon,” was based on precise intelligence and involved raids on two multi-story buildings controlled by Hamas in Nuseirat. Al-Jamal and several of his family members were killed during the IDF-led operation, which also involved the Israel Security Agency and Israel Police.
While Al Jazeera distanced itself from Al-Jamal, stating he was never an employee, reports revealed that the three other hostages – Meir Jan, Kozlov, and Ziv – were held captive by Al-Jamal, identified as a Hamas operative. The operation exposed Hamas’s tactic of using civilian homes to hide hostages in the Gaza Strip.
The X account of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, and some Israeli websites, quoted the name of a Palestinian journalist from Gaza called Abdullah Al-Jamal and claimed that he works with #AlJazeera, and that his name was linked to what happened in the Israeli army's liberation of…

Reports from the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor detailed the violent nature of the rescue, including the immediate execution of Al-Jamal’s family members encountered during the raid. Despite portraying himself as a journalist, Al-Jamal’s articles supported Hamas’s activities and allegedly included false claims.
However, it is noteworthy that Al-Jazeera itself has been spewing Hindu hate, supporting terrorists and terrorism time and again.
In October 2023, Al Jazeera peddled the fake news that Muslims in a Hindu-majority school in Gujarat were beaten by “Hindu activists for arranging a student performance on religious tolerance that depicted Muslim prayers at a Hindu-majority school”. However, what they conveniently omitted to state was that four Hindu students were forced to perform Namaz without consent from their parents, according to Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists.
Al-Jazeera used to have on its team the likes of Mehdi Hasan, a closet terror sympathizer who thinks that as a Muslim he has the divine right to have the moral high ground no matter what. In fact, he once said, “Once we lose the moral high ground we are no different from the rest, of the non-Muslims, from the rest of those human beings who live their lives as animals, bending any rule to fulfill any desire.”
Sreenivasan Jain, who formerly worked with NDTV and is currently with Al-Jazeera even hosted a programme on the channel called The India Report where he spewed anti-Hindu venom and hate and lies about the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Thrilled to announce that starting this week, I'll be presenting The India Report, a new four-part series produced by @meenakshirv on @AJEnglish that looks ahead to the elections.

That Al-Jazeera gave a platform and encouraged to spreading of such hate is only clearer. In the video, Jain is seen sermonising India and Indians on democracy and secularism on a channel which is an Islamic country Qatar’s state media!
Another interesting example about Sreenivasan Jain is that he is alleged to have furnished a surety bond for Mohammed Zubair, the alleged fact-checker and terrorism supporter when he was arrested in 2022. The images of the surety bond were uploaded by defence analyst Abhijit Iyer Mitra but he was asked to delete the post because the images contained private information.

In January 2024, their journalists asked BJP politicians leading and motivated questions with regard to the Ram Mandir Pran Prathishta and asked what kind of message the Ram Mandir ceremony would send to Muslims.
Enjoy, how Al Jazeera researchers miss the ball so completely while trying to corner Shazia Ilmi, an erudite soldier of the BJP, the world’s largest political party
Unsurprising, how the anchorman’s questions betray prejudice, ignorance AND beyond

In an interview with leftist Arundhati Roy, the channel gave her platform to make comments like “India was becoming a fascist Hindu enterprise.”
When the CAA was passed, Al-Jazeera called it “anti-Muslim” citizenship law.

The channel praised Indian Muslims for boycotting American & Israeli products following the war in Gaza.

This came after they alleged that Hindus were boycotting Muslim shops and brands and made a fuss about it.
Al-Jazeera also tried to showcase a propaganda documentary about Muslims in India “living in fear”. However, the telecast of this documentary was restricted after a PIL was filed in Allahabad HC.
These are just some of the many instances showing the biased face of Al-Jazeera. It is no surprise that it allows people like Al-Jamal who held Israelis hostage to work for their platform.
