‘Journalism’ Or Jihad Apologia? Ravish Kumar Prioritizes Pakistan’s Water Over India’s Slain Tourists

In a shocking display of misplaced priorities, alleged journalist Ravish Kumar has once again exposed his true loyalties—not to India, but to those who seek its destabilization. His recent monologue on the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty (IWT) is a masterclass in anti-India rhetoric, where he spends more time defending Pakistan’s water rights than questioning why terrorists massacred Hindu pilgrims in Pahalgam.

Mocking India’s Sovereignty: “Can Modi Stop the Rivers?”

Kumar begins his tirade by ridiculing India’s capability to control its own rivers, sarcastically asking, “Will rivers know that in 2025, such ministers will come who will challenge their flow?”

His tone drips with disdain for BJP leaders like Nishikant Dubey and CR Patil, who have vowed to stop water flow to Pakistan. He further says, “So can you stop the water of six rivers? Who will decide this, nature or Modi’s ministers? It seems that the BJP has got a new weapon, water. They will not give water and will kill the thirsty. These types of talks will enthuse people. They will feel that the uncles of the housing society will leave their bathing and sit in front of the TV to see all this happening. Looking at the thumbnails of the ‘Godi-media YouTube channels, it seems that the people of this country may have seen rivers since eternity, have heard and read about them, but it seems that the editors, journalists, and anchors of this country have neither heard nor read about rivers, nor have seen rivers.”

Instead of applauding India’s strategic move to pressure Pakistan after repeated terror attacks, Kumar mocks the idea, calling it impractical and even dangerous.

Whitewashing Nehru’s Blunders, Ignoring Pakistan’s Terror

Kumar conveniently glosses over Nehru’s catastrophic 1960 Indus Treaty, which gifted 70-80% of river waters to Pakistan despite India being the upper riparian state. Yet, when BJP leaders demand renegotiation, he portrays them as jingoistic fools.

Worse, he completely sidesteps the Pahalgam terror attack, where jihadists targeted Hindu pilgrims. Instead of demanding accountability from Pakistan, he diverts attention to the technicalities of dam construction, asking, “What about the security lapses in Pahalgam?”

But where was his outrage when Congress governments allowed terror to flourish in Kashmir for decades?

Echoing Pakistani Propaganda: “India Can’t Stop Water”

Kumar parrots Pakistan’s narrative, insisting that stopping water is “impossible” and would “flood India.” He cites “experts” (without naming them) who claim, “Storing water would submerge Kashmir under 7 meters!”

Yet, he ignores that India has already built projects like the Ratle and Kishanganga dams, legally permitted under the IWT. If Pakistan can violate the treaty by blocking India’s hydropower projects, why shouldn’t India retaliate?

Deflecting Blame: “Modi Didn’t Hold A Press Conference!”

In a bizarre pivot, Kumar shifts focus from Pakistan-sponsored terror to Modi’s “lack of press conferences.” He whines:

“Why didn’t Modi go to Pahalgam? Why is he laughing in Bihar?”

But where was his outrage when:

  • Manmohan Singh remained silent after 26/11.
  • Congress leaders like Digvijay Singh called the Batla House encounter “fake”?
  • Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders peddled “Hindu terror” lies to US diplomats.

The Final Betrayal: Equating RSS Supporters with Pakistani Terrorists

Kumar’s most disgusting remark comes when he equates Indian nationalists with jihadists, “Pakistan wanted to divide Hindus and Muslims—RSS is doing the same!”

This is a classic false equivalence and intent to deflect the blame onto the RSS needlessly, to promote the failed project of his masters – “Saffron Terror”

Whose Side Is Ravish Kumar On?

Ravish Kumar’s rant reveals a disturbing pattern:

  • Defends Pakistan’s water rights while mocking India’s sovereignty.
  • Whitewashes Congress’s failures but hyper-criticizes BJP’s strong stance.
  • Ignores jihadist terror, instead blaming Indian nationalists.

One must ask: Why is he more outraged about Pakistan’s water supply than India’s murdered tourists?

The answer is clear—his loyalties lie with those who oppose a strong India. True journalists demand accountability from terrorist states, not their own government. Until Ravish Kumar understands this, he remains nothing more than a mouthpiece for anti-India propaganda.

If Ravish Kumar spent even half his energy condemning Pakistan’s terror as he does mocking India’s countermeasures, perhaps he’d be taken seriously. But as expected, his bias is as transparent as his desperation to please his ideological masters.
