Japan’s ‘Twitter’ killer’s last wish is to marry a ‘normal girl’ so that he can have a visitor before execution

Japan’s Twitter killer’s last wish was to marry a ‘normal’ girl before getting a death sentence. Takahiro Shiraishi, who has been dubbed as the Twitter killer, has been ruled with a death sentence after he has confessed to trapping killing and butchering 8 women and one man. Surprisingly, he hadn’t denied the claims, and instead admitted to targeting internet users who had posted about suiciding, and had taken their lives.

In the midst of this, the strange last wish request of this man has taken the country by surprise, and made the headlines. Found guilty of murder, forced sexual intercourse and robbery, Shiraishi has said he will not appeal against his death sentence – but he still hopes to be able to marry. “Now, I want to meet an ordinary girl,” he said. “I want to get married. I want to find a marriage partner while I am in jail,” he had said.

Asked why he wanted to get married, Shiraishi said: “I was thinking it would be good to have someone who supports me. She would be able to come and see me and bring me things.”

While a judgement has not been passed on this weird request, the court has ruled against Twitter killer’s lawyers’ argument on consent. His lawyers had argued that the victims had given consent by replying to his messages.
