“Is This Tamil Nadu Or Dravida Nadu? Where Exactly Is Dravida Nadu Located?” NTK Chief Seeman Slams DMK’s ‘Dravida Nadu’ Narrative, Challenges Anbil Mahesh To Public Debate

Frustrated by the recent political antics of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party, particularly regarding the controversy surrounding the Tamil Nadu Governor’s allegedly ‘Tamil Thai Vazhthu,’ row leaving out “Dravida Nal Thirunadu,” Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) party coordinator Seeman has raised concerns over the DMK’s distortion of facts.

Seeman questioned, “Where is Dravida Nadu? Is this Tamil Nadu or Dravida Nadu?” The NTK leader also challenged the DMK’s School Education Minister, Anbil Mahesh, to a public debate on the matter.

Seeman, the Chief Coordinator of the Naam Tamilar Party, visited Namakkal to lead a protest against the construction of a new bus stand in Rasipuram, located 7 km outside the city. He also voiced his opposition to the proposed SIPCOT industry in Valayapati, near Namakkal, and demanded that the sewage discharge into Tusoor Lake be stopped.

Prior to a consultative meeting with the Party officials from Namakkal District, Seeman addressed the media. When asked about the controversy surrounding Governor RN Ravi’s omission of the word “Dravidam” in Tamil Thai Vazhthu, which has sparked a significant political debate in Tamil Nadu, Seeman responded sharply.

Seeman criticized the Dravidians, accusing them of distorting facts and stated, “In 2016, I published an administrative draft book on how I will govern when I come to power. In it, I stated, “If I come to power, I will remove the Tamil Thai Vazhthu and implement a new Tamil Thai Vazhthu.” What is the need for “Dravida Nal Thirunaadu” (the great Dravidian nation) in Tamil Nadu? (Geographically) How far does the Dravidian Nadu extend? What are its boundaries? Who are the Dravidians? In Tamil Nadu, where does Dravida Nadu come into play? Tell me is it Tamil Nadu or Dravida Nadu? Where exactly is Dravida Nadu located? Is it in history or literature? Where is it? You have brought it for non-Tamils to live lavishly and rule over us. If you ask us to accept Dravidam means how can that be.”

Then he questioned, “Is Anbil Mahesh ready to speak? Is he suggesting a place? Shall we sit in person and have a debate? ‘You are the education minister, right? Come, let’s talk.’ What kind of joke is this? I am Tamil, so I’m saying I will remove this Tamil Thai Vazhthu.”
