Pakistan’s cricket team player Shahid Afridi who made news recently for discriminating Hindu players has once again come to the limelight for the wrong reasons. He was caught in a viral video calling Prime Minister Modi a “disease”.
Afridi was delivering a speech to a group of men in army uniform. He said “The world is currently infected by such a big disease, but the bigger disease is in Modi’s mind.” said Afridi.
#ShahidAfridi Took charge of DGISPR Asif Ghafoor to roast 1.3 billion ppl through his words and tweets only 😂
He is still smashing indians out of grounds. Make 1.3 bn burn with only one video like he used to burn you with only one six in crkt days 😂😂#shahidAfridi_Bhadva_hai pic.twitter.com/fJOp25LMkB— Hamza Wajid (@Hamza_hon_mai) May 18, 2020
Afridi’s uncalled statement on Modi has invited severe backlash from Indian cricketers. Earlier, Harbhajan and Yuvraj had posted videos in support of ‘Shahid Afridi Foundation’ which was raising funds for the underprivileged affected by COVID-19 pandemic.
Really disappointed by @SAfridiOfficial‘s comments on our Hon’b PM @narendramodi ji. As a responsible Indian who has played for the country, I will never accept such words. I made an appeal on your behest for the sake of humanity. But never again.

“It was Afridi who requested me and Yuvi to do a video in support of his foundation as the spread of pandemic doesn’t see religion or borders. But then he has made anti-India comments,” Harbhajan said in a television interview.
Suresh Raina came back at Afridi strongly with a tweet saying better do something for his failed nation and leave #Kashmir alone.
Gosh! What all a person must do to remain relevant! Even more so for a nation that is living on alms. So, better do something for your failed nation and leave #Kashmir alone. I am a proud Kashmiri and it is and will always remain an inalienable part of India. Jai Hind!🇮🇳❤️💪

Former cricketer and BJP MP Goutam Gambhir tweeted “Jokers like Afridi, Imran & Bajwa can spew venom against India & Narendra Modi ji to fool Pak ppl but won’t get Kashmir till judgment day! Remember Bangladesh?”
Pak has 7 lakh force backed by 20 Cr ppl says 16 yr old man @SAfridiOfficial. Yet begging for Kashmir for 70 yrs. Jokers like Afridi, Imran & Bajwa can spew venom against India & PM @narendramodi ji to fool Pak ppl but won't get Kashmir till judgment day! Remember Bangladesh?

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif also jumped in favour of Gambhir and asked whether Afridi would make such statements if Pakistan players were allowed in the cash-rich Indian Premier League.
Shikar Dhawan vented out his anger saying “The world is fighting corona ,and you go behind Kashmir”
Is waqt jab saari duniya corona se lad rahi hai us waqt bhi tumko kashmir ki padi hai.
Kashmir humara tha humare hai aur humara hi rahega. Chaiyeh 22 crore le ao, humara ek, sava lakh ke barabar hai . Baaki ginti apne aap kar lena @SAfridiOfficial— Shikhar Dhawan (@SDhawan25) May 17, 2020
The entire Indian cricket fraternity has expressed their anger and disappointment over his comments on PM Modi and Kashmir.
