India On High Alert After Hamas Founder Called For “Jihad To Be Applied On Ground” On Friday The 13th

A high security alert has been issued across India and its capital New Delhi on Friday (13 October 2023) after Khalid Mashal, who is one of the founding members of the Islamic terror group Hamas, called on Muslims across the world to gather on Friday in what he called “the Friday of Al-Aqsa flood” where he said that the time has come for jihad to be applied on the ground rather than just in theory.

Already there is a meeting that has been organized by the powerful and influential and largest Islamic organization in India, the Jamaat-e-Islamic Hind on 13 October in the Muslim-majority Malappuram District in Kerala where they have invited, the Palestinian Ambassador to India Adnan Abu Alhaija, and the Islamic University of Gaza Vice Chancellor Dr Kamlain Shaa’ath for the “Palestine Solidarity Convention”.

In many ways, this meeting can be called a solidarity convention for Hamas as no Muslim organization including political parties such as AIMIM led by Asaduddin Owaisi has condemned Hamas and their barbaric attack on innocent women, children, and old people.

For Muslims, the Al-Aqsa mosque is the third most holy Islamic site, and Khalid Mashal evoked a very powerful emotion among Muslims when he made the inflammatory speech calling for the “Friday of Al-Aqsa Flood”.

As per news reports, New Delhi is on a status of high alert and Delhi Police personnel will be present on the streets with heavy force during Friday prayers, particularly in the Old Delhi area which is home to the Juma Masjid. Security has also been increased at Jewish religious establishments and the Israel Embassy. At the same time the US, UK, France, and Germany, heightened security around “potential Jewish targets” and “pro-Palestinian protesters” in view of the escalating violence in Israel.

As Israel continues its onslaught on the Gaza Strip to exterminate Hamas New Delhi has taken a preemptive security measure in view of potentially violent protests that could easily culminate in open riots. in the national capital, and across India.

According to reports, the Home Ministry has has alerted police forces in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad to be extra vigilant and deploy extra forces.
