In another embarrassment for the Indian National Congress, the party through its official Twitter handle had tweeted a picture of General Sam Maneckshaw instead of General Cariappa’s on the occasion of the latter’s death anniversary.
Field Marshal Kodandera Madappa Cariappa was the first Indian Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) of the Indian Army.
He instituted many changes and introduced highest levels of professionalism and discipline.
Once the mistake was pointed out by social media, the Congress party deleted the post without an apology after netizens pointed out the glaring mistake committed by the national party.
