Speaking at a seminar that seems to be from 2022 on the topic “Why RSS Should Be Banned”, Professor Jayaraman, spoke at length about the RSS and its origins. The event was conducted by Tamizhaga Makkal Munnani and saw the participation of Thirumurugan Gandhi, rabid Dravidian Stockist known for his association with the LTTE.
In the speech, he speaks about “Brahminism” in particular, calling Brahmins termites who “eat” through everything like the pests.

He said, “The concept of Dravidianism arose in Madras province of that day. When Karnataka was formed by merging other nearby regions, when Telugu Nadu (Andhra Pradesh) was formed, and when Kerala was formed, they all looked back at them. Whether they will twist their mustache, mmhmm no. They are not ready to twist their mustache; not ready to accept Dravidam. Agents of Brahminism are making the word Dravidian into something that needs to be hated by denigrating it. In India, the Brahmin termite is eating and destroying everything. It did not leave out any leader behind, it embraced all. But it could not do anything to that old man from Erode who worked in Tamilnadu. That old man did not give even an inch of space in any row. He fought against Brahminism. It is a strong weapon in our hands. He opposed Brahminism as well as the political form of Brahminism which is Indian nationalism. All this happened in the past. But it is true that after Periyar, there was some slackening in the Dravidian movement activities especially opposing Brahminism. That gap was exploited by Brahminism.”
He further added, “In 1925, RSS – Rashtriya Swayamsewak organisation was formed. Five people including Savarkar and Moonje were part of it. Before that in 1915, Hindu Mahasabha was formed and even before that in 1875, Arya Samaj was formed by Dayanand Saraswati. It was Arya Samaj that said, India should become one. In that country of India, Arya bhasha should be the official language. He said, Arya Bhasha. The Hindi language we speak today should imbibe Sanskrit. The Indian Constitution says that the Hindi which has taken words from Sanskrit alone should be the official language of India. It was named Arya Bhasha by Dayanand Saraswati. We have lost a lot. Have you seen those people who show off their inked fingers after elections? He was bitten, a failure. This democratic system is the system of government devised by Aryans.”
It must be noted that Jayaraman was the chief coordinator of the Anti-Methane Project Federation. He was charged with sedition allegedly for delivering a speech and publishing a book that undermines the sovereignty of the state in 2017.
It is also important to note that Jayaraman was previously among the nine individuals arrested by the Pandhanallur police in Thanjavur district on charges of inciting protests against ONGC’s oil extraction in Kathiramangalam, Thanjavur, in July 2017. Heading the Anti-Methane Federation project, Jayaraman vehemently opposed plans for extracting Coal-Bed Methane and crude oil in the delta districts of Tamil Nadu.
