Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami met reporters while inspecting government welfare programmes and COVID prevention work in Thoothukudi.
When a reporter asked about DMK chief MK Stalin calling him a ‘fake farmer’, pat came the reply from Chief Minister Palaniswami “I know farming. What does Stalin know?”.
CM Palaniswami said that he does not require any certificate from the DMK chief about being a farmer.
“He need not give me any certificate. I have been in the profession of agriculture. What profession does Stalin have?”, CM Palaniswami asked.
“I continue to do farming even when I am the Chief Minister. People in my village know how hard I worked from a young age.” CM Palaniswami added.
Speaking about the status of COVID-19 control in the district, Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy further said that about 2.24 lakh people underwent corona testing in Thoothukudi district. He said that there are enough stock piles of medicines to treat COVID-19.
