How DMK Supporting Dravidianists Are Targetting A Tamil YouTuber For Speaking Truth About Pahalgam Terror Attack While Trying To Whitewash Terrorists

One of the most disturbing and shameless narratives currently circulating among certain Dravidianist sympathizers in Tamil Nadu — a group often criticized for openly supporting extremist organizations like Hamas or Maoist figures such as Stan Swamy — is the coordinated targeting of nationalist voices who speak out against the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Anantnag, Jammu & Kashmir, where 26 innocent tourists lost their lives.

Rather than addressing the brutality of the attack, these individuals are exploiting religious sentiments to stir communal tensions and silence discussions on terrorism. Their approach appears to be a deliberate effort to deflect attention from the act of terror by reframing it as an attack on Indian Muslims, thus shielding the perpetrators from criticism.

One prominent victim of this campaign is ‘Tamil Pokkisham’ channel’s Vickneswaran, a nationalist thinker and YouTuber known for his sharp geopolitical analyses from an Indian perspective. After he released a detailed series of videos (Parts 1 to 6) explaining the sequence of events around the Pahalgam attack — using verified news sources and reports — he became the target of a smear campaign. Notably, in these videos, starting from Part 2, he also acknowledged and appreciated how some Kashmiri Muslims helped victims in the aftermath, highlighting the human response beyond religion.

Despite this balanced perspective, Dravidianist sympathizers — some of whom have previously shown support for violent jihadist ideologies — began portraying Vickneswaran as spreading anti-Muslim propaganda. Through selective video edits and misinformation, they’ve launched legal threats and social media attacks to discredit him.

A known Dravidianist figure, goes by the name Kabilan known for spreading divisive rhetoric and misinformation on his official X account, wrote, “Without knowing what happened, this guy came to stir up a Hindu-Muslim problem. There is a Muslim among the dead. He thinks he can use this false news to make a sanghism.”

In another instance, a Dravidianist goes by the name Mithran shared a video claiming: “They shot everyone on sight… They didn’t ask anyone’s name, they didn’t even take off their pants – Interview with the injured.”

However, a closer look at the actual interview reveals a very different story. When the interviewer asked the victim whether the attackers asked for names before shooting, the injured individual clearly responded: “I don’t know that, but there was shooting.” This selective misrepresentation reflects a broader pattern by certain individuals in the state who oppose linguistic and cultural integration. Ironically, they discourage learning other languages — yet use that very ignorance to twist facts and spread false narratives that inflame communal divisions and distort public understanding.

This orchestrated effort not only endangers the safety of individuals like Vickneswaran but also threatens the broader social fabric of India by attempting to suppress honest discourse about terrorism.

There have been multiple reports from mainstream media, testimonies of victims’ families establishing the fact that the terrorists segregated tourists based on their religion, made non-Muslims to recite Kalma and shot them down. However, the Dravidianists have been trying to whitewash the Islamic terrorists by denying these facts.
