Hindu Munnani Successfully Thwarts Islamic Conversion Attempt In Panaiyur Village

Hindu Munnani has successfully foiled another alleged religious conversion attempt by a group of individuals from Madurai who visited Panaiyur village, a predominantly Hindu area.

According to reports, a group of ten individuals arrived in the village in an auto-rickshaw and engaged in door-to-door preaching. They were allegedly singing Islamic devotional songs accompanied by drums while distributing holy water and amulets, urging locals to visit mosque. Concerned residents alerted Hindu Munnani, which promptly intervened and confronted the group. Citing laws against forced conversions, the Hindu Munnani members successfully stopped the activity and sent the individuals back.

Following the incident, Hindu Munnani issued a statement via its official account, saying, “Religious conversion thwarted. Ten individuals from Madurai arrived in an auto-rickshaw and went door to door, singing Islamic songs accompanied by drums offered water and amulets to Hindus, urging them to visit mosques and attempted converting to Islam in Panaiyur village, a Hindu-majority area. Upon learning of this, Hindu Munnani officials rushed to the scene, confronted the Islamic conversion group, and sent them away. As a result, the conversion attempt was halted in Panaiyur village.”
