The members of the Hindu Munnani reportedly stopped a group of Christian missionaries who were distributing religious pamphlets promoting Christianity and Jesus Christ in Kolakudi village, located in Thottiyam taluk of Trichy district. The incident unfolded after local residents, suspecting an attempt at religious conversion, alerted Hindu Munnani volunteers.
Responding swiftly, Hindu Munnani members confronted the missionaries and questioned them about their activities. “Did the government gave any permission for you to distribute such notice?” they asked, further demanding that the missionaries accompany them to the local police station. Caught off guard, the missionaries reportedly did not respond and remained silent.
