Veera Thuravi (the Warrior Sage in English) has been in public life for more than 7 decades. He founded the Hindu Munnani in 1980 in light of the Meenakshipuram conversions where large number of villagers converted to Islam aided by Islamic organizations. Since then, Hindu Munnani has been working across villages in Tamil Nadu to prevent forced religious conversions.
