Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi has stated that Indian history has been distorted because we have been educated in a manner designed by foreigners.
An event commemorating the day Kanyakumari district merged with Tamil Nadu was held in the Iraichakulam area near Nagercoil. Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, speaking at the event, stated, “We should celebrate the day of Kanyakumari’s merger with Tamil Nadu as a festival. On this day, we should remember those who fought for us.”
He also said, “Indian history has been distorted because it has been studied in a manner written by foreigners. We need to restore it. The world is watching India closely.”
“We should recount the people who shed blood in the war that occurred on this day. Kumari district is a holy land. People should think about why we need to write our own history. Foreigners have distorted and altered Indian history. We must not forget that even Gandhi advocated for the restoration of our history. The youth should remember that the Prime Minister has said that we will achieve development by 2047, ” he further stated.
Former Union Minister of State Pon Radhakrishnan, Nagercoil BJP MLA M.R. Gandhi, and members of Hindu organizations participated in the event.
