A single mother from Erode has complained to the police that a DMK official has been sexually intimidating her for not repaying the loan.
Nithya, a resident of Puthupalayam town in Gobichettypalayam, Erode, who has been running a beauty salon and working as a beautician course teacher in her area, lost her husband to COVID a few weeks ago.
According to reports, she has taken money from a chit fund operated by her house owner Mani, who is also the DMK North District Agriculture wing Deputy Organizer. However, because her firm was impacted by the COVID closure, she was unable to reimburse the funds. House owner Mani became enraged and began threatening her and making sexual remarks about her over the phone.
She alleged that the DMK office-bearer told her to send her customers to his home with a sexual undertone. She further claimed that the DMK office-bearer threatened her son through the phone when she refused to pick his call.
Nithya filed a complaint with the Erode commissioner’s office after being threatened by the DMK official. However, her complaint was forwarded to the Gobichettypalyam police station by the Erode Commissioner’s office, where she alleges the police are ignoring her complaint against the DMK official.
It is to be noted that there are several complaints have already been filed against DMK Mani at that police station for lending at usurious rates and threatening people for repayment of their loans.
